Bethany Blues – Let’s Do Trivia – 09/01/22

THE RECAP

This week's On Time Bonus icebreaker was "Tell me the top sign the summer of '22 is coming to an end", and jeez do the locals have some opinions about that. LoL! Favorite answers included; the condoms and pregnancy tests are finally fully stocked in Dewey, the multitude of smiles on local restaurant employees, and (my favorite) much less traffic getting to Let's Do Trivia at Blues.

 

Last week's first place team Pool Police and second place team Connecticut Yankees duked it out this week, trading places on the top two throughout the game. But in the end Connecticut Yankees came out on top with Pool Police settling for second. But they had fun singing along to Don't Stop Me Now. The game also featured a three-way tie for third at the half, before the final question, and after the final between the same three teams! Off Center, Big Cookie, and Tom Brady French Kisses His Son were literally neck and neck the entire game with the third place prize coming down to a sudden death tie breaker. And in the end, Big Cookie nailed the exact year of Neil Armstrong's birth. A lot of fun as always. Looking forward to next week!

 

And don't forget, the Rehoboth Walk to Defeat ALS is on Saturday, September 10. Bethany Blues is supporting the walk by allowing one of our regular team members, who is also a committee member of the Rehoboth Walk, to accept donations at our trivia game. Bethany Blues: An excellent crowd filled with some familiar faces showed up to join this week's game. Just Cheers & Off Center both scored OTB extra points for their responses. The game didn't play into anyone's particular strengths, so it was a tight match over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/22/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Just Cheers held a narrow lead over a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers, then another tie between Bethany Blues and Big Cookie. Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 6/19/25

Bethany Blues: We had a packed house with nearly 20 teams (whew!) join in the fun this week. Off Center, Sextupuss and New Neighbors all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was a close match due to a surprisingly low-scoring game. Everyone was struggling. *draw a picture of Sunny the Smilin' Sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (6/26/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, New Neighbors held a narrow lead over a tie between Bad Girls and Sextupuss, followed by another tie between Master Naturalists and D-town, who were followed by yet a 3-way tie. The top eight teams covered by just 3 points. The second half really shook up the running order, favoring a few teams, challenging others. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom was just ahead of D-town, Sextupuss, Houston-We Have An Answer, then a tie between New Neighbors and Master Naturalists. The Blurb is Back, Baby! Bethany Blues: We had a fantastic turnout with a baker's dozen of teams joining this week's game. Tom Brady French Kisses His Son snagged the OTB extra point and ran at the front for much of the early rounds, but then tripped late in the half allowing a couple other teams past. *draw a new moon in the night sky on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, The Animals held the top spot over Fab Five, Underage Thinkers, Dr. Zoom, then a tie between Off Center and Prime Hookers. The Animals maintained their momentum throughout the second half, holding off the advances of Tom Brady French Kisses His Son and Dr. Zoom.
