Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 5/18/23



Bethany Blues: Guest hosting again for one of my favorite venues where the staff is always great and the crowds are fantastic! BB Retreat nabbed OTB extra point to get our game kicked off. It was a close match, with the lead changing hands with the close of each round. Going into the Halftime Bonus, BB Retreat and Underage Thinkers shared the top spot. *draw a vintage hot-rod on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, Underage Thinkers (the only team to score maximum points on the Halftime Bonus) held a comfortable lead over BB Retreat, Tom Brady French Kisses His Son, then a 3-way tie between Off Center, Amish Outlaws and Can-Am Connection. The second half shuffled the standings a bit, not playing to any particular team's strengths, although Underage Thinkers were able to maintain their comfortable lead over the competition. They headed into the Final Bonus over Amish Outlaws, Tom Brady French Kisses His Son, The 3 Cheeses, Off Center and BB Retreat.

Three teams correctly answered the Final Bonus, yet not all were confident with their response, so it all came down to the wagering.

Blurb For Game played on 10-30-2025

It was great being back at Bethany Blues for Let's Do Trivia last Thursday for ERIC THE GREAT!!! People are always fun and friendly. It's even good to see Adele!  It was a big crowd last week with lots of energy and competition. Teslas4Putin started off with a great On Time Bonus Question answer. However, by the time we got thru Halftime, Confederacy Of Dunces lead the pack. After Halftime, Teslas4Putin got to work at it again, and, lead the field as we went into Final Bonus. But, with a big wager and the correct answer, Off Center pulled off the win for the 1st place prize. Threes Company took 2nd place, and, Teslas4Putin took the 3rd place prize. The Nacho Prize (cuz this was "Not Cho Game") was scooped up by JS. Bethany Blues: We had a great crowd filled with a few newcomers for our game this week. Off Center, Aquadummies and Low Expectations all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was an incredibly low-scoring game throughout the early rounds, and only three correct responses for the Halftime Bonus across the entire field. Yeah, this was a tough one… *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the Round 2/Question 1 response (10/16/25) to score bonus points* At the halfway mark, Low Expectations and Dr. Zoom shared the top spot over Nobody Cares About Ian, Parents Night Out, then a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers. Dr. Zoom posted a flawless second half to take over at the front while the rest of the field jockeyed for position. They were trailed by Low Expectations, Nobody Cares About Ian, then a 3-way tie between Off Center, Underage Thinkers and Parents Night Out as we headed into the Final Bonus. Bethany Blues: A baker's dozen of teams competed for this week's game.  Cohenheads nabbed the OTB extra point to get our game kicked off. Filly With An F set the early pace, running at the front of the pack over the first half. *draw a picture of a scrapple sandwich on the Round 2/Question 1 response (10/9/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Filly with an F held a comfy lead over Cohenheads, Heinbaughs, then a tie between Bethany Blues House Team and Nicky's Friends. Filly With An F continued their romp at the front with a flawless second half, further extending their lead going into the Final Bonus. They were trailed by Cohenheads, Nicky's Friends, Heinbaughs and Underage Thinkers. Nobody correctly answered the Final Bonus.
