Bethany Blues – Let’s Do Trivia – 08/31/23

THE RECAP

"Chuck" Guevara, "Liberty Cabbage", and a "Petcock"…were just a few of the interesting things we discussed tonight playing Let's Do Trivia at Bethany Blues in Lewes.

 

Menace To Sobriety returned and took the early lead at the half. Meanwhile we had a three way tie for second place between Dr Zoom, American Idiots, and Connecticut Yankees. Only two teams got tonight's Music Bonus correctly guessing Sugar Ray covering Abracadabra. Going into the final, Menace To Sobriety still had their lead, but the tie for second had broken up. American Idiots had second place to themselves, with Connecticut Yankees only one point behind in third. Nobody got the final question correct. Connecticut Yankee's zero wager brought them up to first place after the other leader's went all in. Menace To Sobriety settled for second and The Animals were able to jump to third on their smaller losing wager.

 

THE SUPER SECRET ART BONUS for September 7th   

October is right around the corner. So for this week's super secret art bonus, on Round 2 Question 1, draw a Jack-O-Lantern and earn three points. Extra point if you add color. (I will accept hand drawn pics for the art bonus, bring them up during or before Round 2 Question 1).

Bethany Blues: An excellent crowd filled with some familiar faces showed up to join this week's game. Just Cheers & Off Center both scored OTB extra points for their responses. The game didn't play into anyone's particular strengths, so it was a tight match over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/22/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Just Cheers held a narrow lead over a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers, then another tie between Bethany Blues and Big Cookie. Off Center came out of the half with a head of steam to take over the lead and ran at the front until being pipped by Zoom Mini as we entered the Final Bonus. Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 6/19/25

Bethany Blues: We had a packed house with nearly 20 teams (whew!) join in the fun this week. Off Center, Sextupuss and New Neighbors all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was a close match due to a surprisingly low-scoring game. Everyone was struggling. *draw a picture of Sunny the Smilin' Sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (6/26/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, New Neighbors held a narrow lead over a tie between Bad Girls and Sextupuss, followed by another tie between Master Naturalists and D-town, who were followed by yet a 3-way tie. The top eight teams covered by just 3 points. The second half really shook up the running order, favoring a few teams, challenging others. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom was just ahead of D-town, Sextupuss, Houston-We Have An Answer, then a tie between New Neighbors and Master Naturalists. The Blurb is Back, Baby! Bethany Blues: We had a fantastic turnout with a baker's dozen of teams joining this week's game. Tom Brady French Kisses His Son snagged the OTB extra point and ran at the front for much of the early rounds, but then tripped late in the half allowing a couple other teams past. *draw a new moon in the night sky on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, The Animals held the top spot over Fab Five, Underage Thinkers, Dr. Zoom, then a tie between Off Center and Prime Hookers. The Animals maintained their momentum throughout the second half, holding off the advances of Tom Brady French Kisses His Son and Dr. Zoom. Going into the Final Bonus, The Animals were still on top of the pile over Dr. Zoom, Tom Brady French Kisses His Son, Prime Hookers and Underage Thinkers.
