Bethany Blues – Let’s Do Trivia – 09/14/23

THE RECAP

Tiny European countries, Instant Pots, and Papa Smurf…were just of few of the interesting things we discussed tonight playing Let's Do Trivia at Bethany Blues in Lewes.

 

About Faces ran a perfect first half, including the extra point on the On Time Bonus, the extra point for a color Super Secret Art Bonus, and the extra point for commenting on last week's Facebook post. So naturally they were in first place at the half. Off Center was a few points back in second with The Animals holding down third place.

 

Round 4 was a struggle for most everybody, but y'all came back strong by Round 6. Going into the Final Question, Dr Zoom held a comfortable lead in first, with About Faces and The Animals a few points back in second and third. Nobody got the Final Question correct (heck, I wouldn't have either, LoL) so it all came down to the wagers. Dr Zoom held onto first place with their zero wager. About Faces went all in and dropped out of the top three, allowing The Animals to pop up into second place having lost only 4 points. And Salty Dogs were about to jump from seventh to third on their zero wager gamble.  

 

THE SUPER SECRET ART BONUS for September 21st   

Tuesday is Talk Like A Pirate Day. So for this week's super secret art bonus matey, on Round 2 Question 1, draw me a treasure chest and earn ye three points. Extra point if you add color. (I will accept hand drawn pics for the art bonus, bring them up during or before Round 2 Question 1).

Bethany Blues: An excellent crowd filled with some familiar faces showed up to join this week's game. Just Cheers & Off Center both scored OTB extra points for their responses. The game didn't play into anyone's particular strengths, so it was a tight match over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/22/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Just Cheers held a narrow lead over a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers, then another tie between Bethany Blues and Big Cookie. Off Center came out of the half with a head of steam to take over the lead and ran at the front until being pipped by Zoom Mini as we entered the Final Bonus. Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 6/19/25

Bethany Blues: We had a packed house with nearly 20 teams (whew!) join in the fun this week. Off Center, Sextupuss and New Neighbors all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was a close match due to a surprisingly low-scoring game. Everyone was struggling. *draw a picture of Sunny the Smilin' Sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (6/26/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, New Neighbors held a narrow lead over a tie between Bad Girls and Sextupuss, followed by another tie between Master Naturalists and D-town, who were followed by yet a 3-way tie. The top eight teams covered by just 3 points. The second half really shook up the running order, favoring a few teams, challenging others. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom was just ahead of D-town, Sextupuss, Houston-We Have An Answer, then a tie between New Neighbors and Master Naturalists. The Blurb is Back, Baby! Bethany Blues: We had a fantastic turnout with a baker's dozen of teams joining this week's game. Tom Brady French Kisses His Son snagged the OTB extra point and ran at the front for much of the early rounds, but then tripped late in the half allowing a couple other teams past. *draw a new moon in the night sky on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, The Animals held the top spot over Fab Five, Underage Thinkers, Dr. Zoom, then a tie between Off Center and Prime Hookers. The Animals maintained their momentum throughout the second half, holding off the advances of Tom Brady French Kisses His Son and Dr. Zoom.
