Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 2/1/24

Bethany Blues: We had a great group of teams filled with many of our regular players along with a handful of newbies. Becki & The Gang nabbed the OTB extra point, but then fell prey to the more experienced squads. Dr. Zoom quickly moved to the front, with Off Center in hot pursuit. *draw a picture of Punxsutawney Phil on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At the halfway point, Dr. Zoom had a firm grip on the lead over Off Center, Repeat Offenders, The Animals, then a tie between Blues Clueless and We're Not Late! Repeat Offenders came out of the halftime bonus the strongest of all our teams. The Animals also built up speed midway through the half, but then Dr. Zoom kicked in the afterburners to leave the rest of the field in their jet-wash. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom held a nearly insurmountable lead, with just 2 teams in striking distance: Off Center and Underage Thinkers, closely trailed by Repeat Offenders and The Animals.

Incredibly, a half dozen teams correctly answered this our Final Bonus, so it all came down to the wagering.

Bethany Blues: An excellent crowd filled with some familiar faces showed up to join this week's game. Just Cheers & Off Center both scored OTB extra points for their responses. The game didn't play into anyone's particular strengths, so it was a tight match over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/22/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Just Cheers held a narrow lead over a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers, then another tie between Bethany Blues and Big Cookie. Off Center came out of the half with a head of steam to take over the lead and ran at the front until being pipped by Zoom Mini as we entered the Final Bonus. The lead duo were followed by Titanic Swim Team, Just Cheers and Big Cookie. Only a single team correctly answered the Final Bonus. Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 6/19/25

Bethany Blues: We had a packed house with nearly 20 teams (whew!) join in the fun this week. Off Center, Sextupuss and New Neighbors all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was a close match due to a surprisingly low-scoring game. Everyone was struggling. *draw a picture of Sunny the Smilin' Sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (6/26/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, New Neighbors held a narrow lead over a tie between Bad Girls and Sextupuss, followed by another tie between Master Naturalists and D-town, who were followed by yet a 3-way tie. The top eight teams covered by just 3 points. The second half really shook up the running order, favoring a few teams, challenging others. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom was just ahead of D-town, Sextupuss, Houston-We Have An Answer, then a tie between New Neighbors and Master Naturalists. The Blurb is Back, Baby! Bethany Blues: We had a fantastic turnout with a baker's dozen of teams joining this week's game. Tom Brady French Kisses His Son snagged the OTB extra point and ran at the front for much of the early rounds, but then tripped late in the half allowing a couple other teams past. *draw a new moon in the night sky on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, The Animals held the top spot over Fab Five, Underage Thinkers, Dr. Zoom, then a tie between Off Center and Prime Hookers. The Animals maintained their momentum throughout the second half, holding off the advances of Tom Brady French Kisses His Son and Dr. Zoom. Going into the Final Bonus, The Animals were still on top of the pile over Dr. Zoom, Tom Brady French Kisses His Son, Prime Hookers and Underage Thinkers.
