Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 8.14.25

Bethany Blues: There was an intensity on Thursday night with 15 teams showing off their Trivia skills - It was the Ties of Trivia Night!  This week, for 3 bonus points, draw your best surfer riding a totally tubular wave.  At half time we had a 4 ties:

35 Scarcelebrate

35 Dharma and Greg
34 Filly With an F
31 Baby Seal Club
31 Zoom
30 Off Center
30 Mugsy's Masters

Just before the final question Scarcelebrate and Teslas4Putin maintained their tie with one another with 65 points a piece.  When the final question had been determined, our finalists were four:

79 Zoom
71 Baby Seal Club
71 Dharma and Greg
55 Bad Girls

So we had to go to the sudden death tie-breaker question.  Dharma and Greg won the tie-breaker putting them in second and Baby Seal Club in Third.  Even after the final question, Scarcelebrate and Teslas4Putin still ended in a tie with 45 points each.

Honorable mention goes to Mugsy's Masters who got the delicious last place prize of a fudge sundae.  Also, Honorable mentions to everyone who played and everyone who stayed to the bitter end.  Congrats to all the winners, and good luck next week!

Bethany Blues: An excellent crowd filled with some familiar faces showed up to join this week's game. Just Cheers & Off Center both scored OTB extra points for their responses. The game didn't play into anyone's particular strengths, so it was a tight match over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/22/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Just Cheers held a narrow lead over a tie between Off Center and Underage Thinkers, then another tie between Bethany Blues and Big Cookie. Off Center came out of the half with a head of steam to take over the lead and ran at the front until being pipped by Zoom Mini as we entered the Final Bonus. The lead duo were followed by Titanic Swim Team, Just Cheers and Big Cookie. Only a single team correctly answered the Final Bonus. Bethany Blues - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 6/19/25

Bethany Blues: We had a packed house with nearly 20 teams (whew!) join in the fun this week. Off Center, Sextupuss and New Neighbors all scored OTB extra points for their responses. It was a close match due to a surprisingly low-scoring game. Everyone was struggling. *draw a picture of Sunny the Smilin' Sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (6/26/25) to score bonus points* At Halftime, New Neighbors held a narrow lead over a tie between Bad Girls and Sextupuss, followed by another tie between Master Naturalists and D-town, who were followed by yet a 3-way tie. The top eight teams covered by just 3 points. The second half really shook up the running order, favoring a few teams, challenging others. Going into the Final Bonus, Dr. Zoom was just ahead of D-town, Sextupuss, Houston-We Have An Answer, then a tie between New Neighbors and Master Naturalists. The Blurb is Back, Baby! Bethany Blues: We had a fantastic turnout with a baker's dozen of teams joining this week's game. Tom Brady French Kisses His Son snagged the OTB extra point and ran at the front for much of the early rounds, but then tripped late in the half allowing a couple other teams past. *draw a new moon in the night sky on the Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, The Animals held the top spot over Fab Five, Underage Thinkers, Dr. Zoom, then a tie between Off Center and Prime Hookers. The Animals maintained their momentum throughout the second half, holding off the advances of Tom Brady French Kisses His Son and Dr. Zoom.
